Philosophy:  The pre-school experience provides an environment in which children develop a positive attitude toward learning and acquire habits, Christian based values and skills that ensure readiness for school.  The pre-school engages in activities and experiences designed to help them develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.

The learning atmosphere allows the child to increase their understanding of self, others and the outside world.  As such, a pre-school program must provide a sense of structure while nurturing creativity, allow development of individuality while instilling sensitivity to others, present a challenging but supportive environment in which the child may gain self-confidence and recognize a sense of achievement.

Such a program requires a set of thoughtfully planned and integrated goals translated into a series of relevant activities and experiences appropriate to the pre-school child.

PROGRAMS:  Our program provides activities and experiences designed to help the children develop socially emotionally, physically and intellectually.  The program includes:

Visit School:
You and your child are invited to visit us during a session to see our facilities and meet our teachers.

Orientation:
An orientation for children and parents will be held the week before school opens so that the children may meet their teacher and feel more secure on the first day.

Physical:
Each child will need a check-up by a physician prior to beginning of school.  A form will be provided as soon as your application is accepted.

Snacks:
Snacks are provided each day.  The children sometimes help prepare these treats.

Schedule:
We usually follow the South River school schedule for holidays and snow days.

Play Clothes:
The children will be most comfortable in play clothes.  It is helpful if all clothing is labeled.

Birthdays:
Birthdays are a special time and we are glad to celebrate at school.  Un-birthdays for summer birthdays will also be celebrated.

Teachers
:  Our teachers are certified and have experience in teaching and working with young children.  A teacher and aide will be with the children at all times.

Period of Adjustment:
The first month of school is a trial period for all children.  During this time if you feel our program is not fulfilling the needs of your child you may withdraw him/her with no monetary penalty.  We also reserve the right to ask you to withdraw your child during this period if we feel another program would be more beneficial for the child.
